What this covers
This Privacy Policy explains what CoverBop collects, why it is collected, and what choices you have when you use the site.
What CoverBop collects
CoverBop may collect your email address, account details, saved cover settings, exported cover files, payment and purchase records, feedback messages, optional issue images you choose to upload, and basic device and usage information.
If you allow analytics, CoverBop also uses tools like cookies or local storage to learn from helpful signals such as downloads, shares, and title picks so future covers can get better.
How CoverBop uses information
CoverBop uses information to create covers, save your work, run accounts, process payments, prevent abuse, answer support requests, and improve the product.
CoverBop may also use information to investigate fraud, enforce limits, comply with legal duties, and keep the site secure.
Third-party services
CoverBop uses third-party providers to run the service, including Supabase for accounts and storage, OpenAI for image generation and AI features, Stripe for payments, PostHog and Vercel Analytics for analytics, and Resend for support email delivery.
Those providers may process information on CoverBop's behalf so the service can work.
Saved covers and account privacy
Saved covers in CoverBop accounts are intended to be private to the signed-in account owner and are served with time-limited access links instead of public open links.
If you choose to export or share a cover yourself, that shared copy is under your control.
Payments and purchase data
Payments are processed by Stripe. CoverBop does not store full credit card numbers on its own servers.
CoverBop may store purchase-related details such as the pack you bought, the amount of credits added, Stripe checkout IDs, and promotion data needed to fulfill your purchase and handle support questions.
Feedback and support
If you send feedback or an issue report, CoverBop may store the message, your contact email, product context, device details, limited security information needed to investigate the problem, and up to two issue images you choose to attach.
Issue images are kept in private storage, are only meant to help investigate the report, and should not include passwords, payment card details, or other sensitive personal information.
CoverBop tries to avoid sending hidden internal identifiers in support emails when they are not needed.
Children
CoverBop is not directed to children under 13, and CoverBop does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information, contact CoverBop so the information can be reviewed and removed.
Retention and deletion
CoverBop keeps information for as long as it is needed to operate the service, fulfill purchases, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
You can request account deletion from inside the product. Some records may be kept when the law requires it or when they are needed for fraud prevention, accounting, or dispute handling.
Your choices
You can stop using the service, delete your account, clear local browser data, choose whether to submit optional feedback information, and choose whether analytics cookies are allowed. If you say no to analytics, CoverBop should not use those learning signals from your device.
If you want help with privacy requests, email support@coverbop.com.
Policy changes
CoverBop may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When that happens, the updated date at the top of this page will change.
